One of the things that can represent Canada apart from its Maple Leaf and Syrup maybe ROOTS. It’s a brand famous for its leather products, especially tribe leather (known as exclusive to Roots). That’s why I bought a tribe leather bag of Roots. Called Milano model in Tribe Leather for men. It’s a very good product. Only except that it is a bit heavy as a should bag even when it is empty. That’s why I originally opt for the other bag – Las Vegas model in tribe leather for men (see the last picture).

However this model however is not available in Vancouver downtown Roots store on Robson St. It was available on line. Strangly after two days when I check back the website, it was taken off the website as well. Very strange. It might be perfect that I got that bag instead.

I am happy with Milano too, it is the lastest model with the lastest design and very trendy looking as you can see.

Ozone Treated Pools in Vancover

Ozone Pool - Vancouver

Haven’t been able to update the blog for a while now. I have been very busy in Vancouver.

After living in Sydney for so so many years, finally have to move to Vancouver. I am however still in doubt that Vancouver can top Sydney in terms of living etc.

Well need to find out Ozone treated pools in Vancouver. To be exact, in Vancouver and Burnaby.

BTW, the image used is a fancy one in, actually, West Vancouver, which for now, I have no intention to move to. Looks good though.

OK the list so far:

YMCA downtown

Century Plaza Spa Pools

Killarney Community Centre (Near Burnaby side)

Percy Norman Pool in Piley Park (It is not clear whether it is a Ozone pool, while it was promised to be one when it was built. Not clear whether the promised is kept)

Eileen Dailey Pool (Burnaby, far from Metro Town)

I never realized White rhododendron (杜鹃) can be so beautiful. Seattle Japanese Garden is not very far from University of Washington in Seattle. That was last spring, I was there. I felt like I was in China, Hangzhou, LingYin Temple or HuPao (Tiger run) spring.

Notice the green flower bed under the white rhododendron? It’s not grass. It is very tiny green plant which I don’t know what it is. Moss? It doesn’t really look like moss to me either. But covers almost the entire garden. IMHO, it’s this tiny green plant that makes this garden so magical.

I took the Canon 400D photos in the last post using my old “Point-and-Shoot” Casio EX-Z750

Apart from Tamron 17-50, I also have this Tamron 70-300. The image quality of this lens is better than ok as you can see from the last two images. The problem is the usability. I only recommend this lens if you only use it with a tripods to take a scene in which objects are not moving. Therefore this lens is seldom used by me.

I took the last two images in Burnaby, Vancouver last time I was in Canada. I took them to test this lens. One taken at 70mm end, the other taken at 300mm. Did I mention the Canon 400D like most other digital SLR has this 1.6x Focal Factor, meaning, a 70-300mm lens becomes 112-480mm lens for Canon 400D.

As you can see from the lens case, I bought this lens from Adorama

I bought a lot from B&H too. They seem to do International Shipping, if I remembered right.
