Ethel Smith in “Bathing Beauty” and Yang Gui Fei

Ethel Smith (organist) is giving a performance of Hammond Organ (including Tico Tico) in Classical Musical Old Time Hollywood movie “Bathing Beauty” 出水芙蓉 1944 (One of the Esther Williams early water ballet musical movies). This is a very well known movie in China (than in America). It has been documented, I guess, and spoken about since it had a hugh success showing in Shanghai back in 1944. Hence there are more Chinese know this movie than in America. Another reason is that the Chinese Name used for that Movie - 出水芙蓉 was used to describe Yang Gui-fei 楊貴妃 getting out of her famous hot spring bath.

Chinese Painter - Lu Zhi

Lu Zhi (陆治), Ming dynasty painter. Good at both ShanShui (Mountain-Water) and HuaNiao (Flower-Bird). These paintings were done at his 50’s (image1) and 60’s (last two images).
