The bridge image showing the longest bridge in the world – “HangZhou Bay Bridge” 杭州湾大桥. I think it was finished and put to use early this year. So far there isn’t any ongoing and proposed similar projects that will surpass this bridge’s record any where soon in the future …

Moss Terrarium

Just did a web check. It turns out the tiny green substance I mentioned in the last post I found in the Japanese Garden is Moss.

Moss Terrarium

Moss is kind of pretty. There actually is a hobby called Moss Terrarium as you can see from the images. Hmm, not a bad idea…

I never realized White rhododendron (杜鹃) can be so beautiful. Seattle Japanese Garden is not very far from University of Washington in Seattle. That was last spring, I was there. I felt like I was in China, Hangzhou, LingYin Temple or HuPao (Tiger run) spring.

Notice the green flower bed under the white rhododendron? It’s not grass. It is very tiny green plant which I don’t know what it is. Moss? It doesn’t really look like moss to me either. But covers almost the entire garden. IMHO, it’s this tiny green plant that makes this garden so magical.

China, now we have both rice and scenery

Red Coral necklace for men from Cairns, QLD, Australia.

Cairns, IMHO, is one of the most interesting tourist destinations in Australia.

Pink Carnation is said to be something you cannot give to a lover, but more appropriate to give to yourself. Not sure this is right though?

Trilogy Parfum d'EmpireI like white peony (image1), white camellia (image2). I like ornamental fruit trees (called Prunus) for their spring blossom (apple, pear, apricot, cheery, peach, plum trees etc. all have beautiful spring blossom.) Image3 is a cherry type called “Kojo No Mai”. This is a drawf type tree only about 2 meters tall maximum, so it looks very cute and decorative. Image4 is Osmanthus. I love the fragrance. It is known as a uniquely Chinese flower fragrance. Luckily you can find it bottled like in “Osmanthus Interdite” perfume from “Parfume d’Empire, Paris” (Image5)
